Autumn
The colors of fall are a rare treasure. The changing of the leaves brightens the land in relatively few places on earth, and the Southern Appalachians are host to one of the top rated shows in the world.

Autumn
Mountains are glowing in neon
Bright as flames
Like children playing with crayons
All colors on display
Leaves are all decked out for dying
One last good-bye
Wearing their finest to shine in
The blue October sky
And, those who have never seen it
Can't believe it's true
They think those multicolored photographs
Must be cartoons
But it's real with iridescent yellow
A maple shines
& Gives back the sunlight that fell on
The spring & summer times
Those who have never seen it
Can't believe it's true
They think those multicolored photographs
Must be cartoons
But it's real the mountains are neon
Bright as flames
Like children playing with crayons
All colors on display
