Your recording stands out as one of the best I've heard. The vocals are just great - I especially like the male voicings - earthy and heartfelt (not to downplay the female vocals which are also wonderful). I think the instrumentation is perfectly balanced to complement the vocals and great listening.
Just as in Hawaiian music where there is love for places expressed, I get that same message in the lyrics on your cd - love of the `aina. Love of your land and your home. I know I liked your recording because I can listen to it over and over.
I think many listeners will enjoy your music as I have.
Warmest Aloha,

"The Crown of the Carolinas" is absolutely the perfect musical explanation of what our Southern Heritage, lifestyle and great beauty of the South truly is all about. Great music and great players bring to mind many of the beautiful places in our homeland that I had almost forgotten.

These songs should be played by all radio stations in the Carolina foothills & mountains.

The Crown of The Carolinas is nothing short of a beautiful piece of work from some of Carolina's best players. Bobby Holliday and friends turn in a musical journey that envokes the true feeling of a walk in the Blue Ridge Mountains, or fishing off of a rock in mountain river. A wise Native American once said "let nature sing." With this release, it does just that. -
